French public university at Besançon in Franche-Comté with sites at Belfort, Montbéliard, Vesoul and Lons-le-Saunier, founded in 1423 and renamed Université Marie & Louis Pasteur in 2025. Teaches pharmacy and medicine through its health faculty, together with science, technology, law and the humanities, works with the Besançon university hospital and the regional blood and cell therapy centre and carries out research on nanomedicine, cell therapy and analytical chemistry.
