ArcGen Bio (아크젠바이오) announced on the 31st that it has been selected as the lead research institution for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' "Pharma‑Bio Venture Collaboration‑Based Technology Development Project." The initiative aims to establish joint R&D cooperation between pharma‑bio ventures and pharmaceutical companies, advance new‑drug pipelines, and stimulate an open‑innovation ecosystem in the pharma‑bio sector.
Under the project, ArcGen Bio will receive a total of 30 billion KRW in government funding over a three‑year period starting this year. LG Chem will participate as a co‑research institution, focusing on the development of an immuno‑oncology multi‑specific T‑cell engager (T‑Cell Engager) therapeutic.
