letter: As a short introduction, I am an experienced healthcare industry professional having worked for over 22 years in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries after a 7 years period dedicated to academic research. At sanofi, I worked in the field of oncology drug discovery, target discovery and translational research. I ensured validation of numerous targets that entered into the drug discovery process and managed two optimization programs that delivered several hit and lead series and at least one pre-candidate for early clinical development. I also implemented an innovative technology platform for drug discovery and biomarker identification that successfully delivered in pre-clinical programs and in clinical studies. In 2009 I joined Genomic Vision, an SME biotech company developing genetic testing and research tools for oncology and inherited diseases. As Vice-President Research & Development, I managed a multidisciplinary team of scientists to develop diagnostic tests, the company's proprietary technology and state of the art single molecule fluorescence detection technology and played a major role in the implementation of a strategic alliance with a major CLIA diagnostics lab which led to soft money for the company. This required managing and integrating a number of technological areas including technical engineering, software oriented projects, genomics/genetics and diagnostics regulation but also defining mid to long-term R&D strategy. In both industrial organizations, I also have had the opportunity to initiate and to manage numerous collaborations with academic laboratories, small biotechnology companies and even with larger companies for technology and product integration, a role in which I interacted with institutional organization but also managed various due-diligences. Last, during my career, I managed creation and expansion of various multidisciplinary teams and structures for which I ensured organization and management but also reported to upper management and to company and supervisory boards. To summarize my experience, my scientific expertise are linked to oncology, genomics, translational research, personalized medicine and drug discovery in both Pharma and Diagnostic worlds, and my strengths are my mixed Major/Biotech culture as well as my track records in managing collaborations and multidisciplinary teams, interfacing private and academic research and my ability to interact with key opinion leaders.
