I am a PhD student in University College Cork with a keen interest in transdermal delivery, specifically transdermal drug delivery systems. My work involves defining the quality target product profile for hormone replacement therapy products and conducting extensive pre-formulation and formulation studies. These studies focus on identifying potential incompatibilities and examining the impact of drug substance and excipient physicochemical properties on the critical quality attributes and overall performance of the drug product. By advancing the understanding and development of transdermal delivery methods, I aim to contribute to the broader field of transdermal drug delivery systems.
