I am doing PhD at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. I have completed Master of Pharmacy, from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS-Pilani). I have experience of working in the one of the world’s best biotech companies, Biocon Ltd., and world’s leader in Consumer Product, GlaxoSmithKline, gaining valuable experiences. I did my Bachelors from Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Pharmacy, Kolhapur. I cracked GATE twice, with an All India Rank of 27 out of 24885 students (99.89 percentile) in 2009. Further, I stood 59th in India in NIPER exam. In the same year I passed my degree and I stood 3rd in the university. My experiences in BIOCON exposed me to the problems faced during and after scale-up from R & D to scale-up and commercial production. Further, it became critical when I handled very sensitive & costly APIs (Tacrolimus, Everolimus, Serolimus etc.), peptidase, metabolite supplements. Here, I learnt the importance of formulation process development. In spite of work pressure and expectations I kept my passion alive for pursuing PhD and was selected as a UGC-BSR RFSMS Fellow at The Maharaja University of Baroda, Vadodara. During my PhD research I got exposure to correlate the things form microscopic and molecular levels to their macroscopic properties. Meanwhile, I also learnt the key aspects of scientific writing and communications, using which I was able to publish several international papers in last three years (11 online published, 5 under communications). As our research facility is funded by TIFAC CORE I also achieved expertise in advanced processing instruments available at labs and also troubleshot several Industrial projects in collaboration.
