Résumé professionnel

Ashish Raghavan is a polymer and materials science researcher specializing in sustainable materials and polymer recycling. He earned his B.Sc. from University of Delhi and an M.Tech in Materials Science from University of Mysore, and is currently completing his Ph.D. at Utkal University. His research focuses on the development of high-performance recycled thermoplastic blends, particularly recycled polypropylene (RPP) and low-density polyethylene (RLDPE), with an emphasis on compatibilization using elastomers such as ethylene-octene copolymer (EOC) and EPDM. His work explores interfacial engineering, crystallization behavior, and mechanical property enhancement to enable the conversion of plastic waste into value-added engineering materials. He has led projects on transforming biomedical plastic waste, including PPE fabrics, into multilayer composite panels for acoustic insulation and triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) applications. His expertise includes polymer processing techniques such as melt blending, compression molding, and two-roll milling, alongside advanced characterization methods including DSC, DMA, FTIR, and mechanical testing. He holds a patent on natural fiber-reinforced polypropylene composites and is currently developing lignocellulosic thermoplastic systems for sustainable applications. His broader research vision is to bridge the gap between waste management and advanced material design through scalable, industry-relevant
