Daesung Lee is Ph.D. Candidate at the Graduate School of Dongguk University, specializing in social administration and pharmacy. He holds a PharmD degree from the College of Pharmacy at Korea University. Lee’s research centers on establishing systems and educational strategies for pharmacists and pharmacy students to ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals. He has undertaken diverse and impactful studies, including "Research on the Proper Use and Management of Pharmaceuticals in Schools" (2021) and "Research on the Development of Evaluation Objectives for the Korean Pharmacist License Examination" (2022). Currently, he is investigating the introduction of a Home Parenteral Nutrition (HPN) system in Korea to support patients with rare pediatric diseases. In addition to his academic pursuits, Lee brings practical experience as a hospital pharmacist, having worked at Dongguk University Ilsan Hospital in 2020. His professional activities extend to regulatory and systemic advancements in pharmacy practice, exemplified by his role as the administrative secretary of the Korean Academy of Social & Managed Care Pharmacy, where he actively collaborates with researchers studying pharmaceutical systems and regulatory frameworks. Lee's scholarly contributions highlight his expertise in regulatory science, pharmaceutical education, and the evolving role of pharmacists. His research addresses complex challenges in pharmaceutical policy, education, and practice, with a particular focus on fostering innovation and advancing regulatory frameworks. Through his work, he supports the development of competent pharmacists while shaping the future of pharmacy practice in Korea and beyond.
