at Austin Dell Medical School , Dr. Miserlis has directed his scientific and medical passion
and dedicated his experience in the development of new technologies for patients with
complex arterial pathologies. As a surgeon scientist leader he was able to initiate a
multidisciplinary collaboration for the research, design and development of novel
biomedical technologies in order to supply the current clinical surgical armamentarium
with the next generation of medical tools. Dr. Miserlis is leading a diverse team
that includes scientists and engineers, with complimentary training and expertise from
Vascular Surgery, Biology, Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Engineering
fields. Together they work on the research and development of innovative diagnostic and
interventional technologies for the management of complex cardiovascular pathologies, as
well as solutions for health disparities. His experience working on NIH funded projects
with human centered research, as well as his robust clinical and translational research
experience in a broad spectrum of vascular surgery pathologies, has generated novel
inventions and produced several peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Miserlis has been
supporting many research projects and promoting the education for the next generation of
academic surgeons and biomedical scientists. Currently his team is trailblazing several
