European Board certified toxicologist since 1998. MSc. Wageningen University in Environmental Science & Toxicology. Broad experience in human risk assessment and regulatory toxicology, working for industry (Numico, Danone), leading a team of toxicologists as well as a governmental organization at EU and global level (CtgB; Dutch Board for the Authorization of Pesticides & Biocides). Agrochemicals: worker and consumer risk assessment. Food ingredient safety, including food additives and nutritional ingredients (allergens, novel foods) in the general population as well as vulnerable target populations such as (pre)term infants and different patient populations. Besides the design of pre-clinical investigations experience in the design of clinical studies to assess food safety.
