Senior Research Scientist

Marina S. Rajadurai received her M. Sc. degree in Chemistry in 1998 from D. I. Mendeleev Russian Chemical-Technological University, Moscow, Russia. After working for 4 years as an Engineer, at the A. N. Nesmeyanov Institute of Organoelement Compounds, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia, she joined the PhD programme at the same institute. She completed her PhD in 2006, during this period she worked at Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz, Germany as a Visiting Graduate Student. In 2008 she joined as a Post Doctoral Fellow at the Institute of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad Campus where her major research interests were on synthesis of novel heterocyclic bioactive scaffolds. In 2010 she was subsequently appointed as Junior Research Scientist at the Dr. Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences where she is currently working now. Her research interest is focused on development of the new nano-scale fluorescent sensors, nano-medicinal chemistry, and nanoparticles-mediated drug delivery. Dr. Marina is also co-promoter of the start-up biotech company Vegrandis Therapeutic engaged in discovery of new therapies for critical unmet needs. At Vegrandis Therapeutics she is in charge of chemistry and nano-chemistry based endeavors.
