Résumé professionnel

Graduate in Chemistry from University of Malaga (Spain) since 2018, I did my dissertation in the Inorganic Chemistry, Crystallography and Mineralogy department of the Science Faculty, entitled “Modification of the anionic and cationic frameworks of lanthanum molybdates and its effect on the structural and conductive properties”. I gained experience in solid state synthesis and characterization techniques such as lyophilization, the ceramic method or X-ray diffraction. This work was the basis of my first article, published in a high impact journal. As a part of my bachelor’s degree, I studied for a semester in Salisbury University, Maryland (USA). In 2020 I graduated in the Official Master’s Degree in Research, Development, Control and Innovation of Medicines of the University of Granada. As a part of this Master’s degree, I did an internship at the Laboratorio de Estudios Cristalográficos of the Instituto Andaluz de Ciencias de la Tierra (CSIC-UGR) in Armilla (Granada), where I acquired experience in: (1) Crystallization of pharmaceuticals in solution, (2) mechanochemical synthesis by liquid-assisted grinding (LAG) to obtain pharmaceutical salts and co-crystals, (3) recrystallization to obtain crystals suitable for single crystal X-ray diffraction and (4) preparation, measurement and analysis of polycrystalline samples by powder X-ray diffraction. Based on the results obtained in those experiments, I wrote my master’s thesis entitled “New multicomponent pharmaceutical materials with risedronic acid: design, synthesis and characterization in solid state”. From February 2021, I am a SSPC PhD student in University of Limerick, in the project "Nucleation control, stabilization and isolation of pharmaceutical nanoparticles". I am using nanoparticles to improve the solubility and dissolution rate of poor soluble drugs, by adsorbing them into carrier particles.
