Received Ph.D. in biochemistry at the University of Tokyo in 1994. Spent for more than 20 years in pharma companies including Nihon Schering and Takeda Pharmaceuticals working on drug discovery research especially in oncology area. Now working on drug discovery in RNA-targeting therapeutics applying our proprietary pentatricopeptide repeat technology. Life-time research interests are transmembrane signaling, splicing, epigenetics and disease biology.
