Vertex Pharmaceuticals to Acquire Crinetics for $10B, Securing Palsonify and CAH Candidate

Vertex Pharmaceuticals announced it will acquire Crinetics Pharmaceuticals, an endocrine‑disease specialist, for $10 billion, marking Vertex’s largest acquisition to date. The deal brings the recently approved potential blockbuster Palsonify and atumelnant, an ACTH‑receptor antagonist under development for congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), into Vertex’s pipeline. Vertex management expressed strong optimism about the Phase 2 results of atumelnant during a conference call on the 12th.
