The RAS‑targeting drug daraxonrasib (brand name RasongQ), recently approved in the United States for the treatment of progressive pancreatic cancer, has shown early efficacy in lung cancer. In a small clinical study of patients with non‑small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), more than 30% experienced tumor reduction. The findings were published on 2 May in the New England Journal of Medicine. Researchers describe daraxonrasib as a “molecular glue” that binds to mutant RAS proteins, a target historically considered undruggable, and note that it previously doubled survival in pancreatic cancer patients.
