Zonal office of ARCSA, the Ecuadorian national agency for health regulation, control and surveillance, covering zone four, which takes in the provinces of Manabí and Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. Handles the registration and notification of medicines, food, cosmetics and health products in its area, inspects and licenses pharmacies, distributors, laboratories and food establishments, takes part in the national pharmacovigilance and post-market surveillance systems, and acts against unregistered and falsified products.
