Chinese public university at Huangshi in Hubei province, founded in 1973 and raised to university standing in 1985, teaching mainly for the teaching profession and the sciences. Runs a college of chemistry and chemical engineering and a college of life sciences with degrees in chemistry, applied chemistry, biological science and pharmaceutical engineering, holds provincial key laboratories in green chemistry and catalysis, and carries out research on organic synthesis, natural products and functional materials.
