Indian institute of technology at Hauz Khas in New Delhi, founded in 1961 as the College of Engineering and Technology and given institute of technology standing in 1963. Teaches chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemical engineering and biotechnology and textile technology alongside its other engineering departments, runs a centre for biomedical engineering with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, and carries out research in drug delivery, biomaterials, process engineering and analytical chemistry.
