French state secondary school on the Montagne Sainte-Geneviève in the fifth district of Paris, housed in the buildings of the former abbey of Sainte-Geneviève and made a lycée in 1796. Teaches about two and a half thousand pupils to the baccalaureate with strong science options and runs preparatory classes for entry to the engineering, science and business grandes écoles, among the most selective in the country.
