American public land grant research university with its main campus at University Park, Pennsylvania, founded in 1855 and running campuses across the state. Its Penn State College of Medicine at Hershey teaches medicine and runs departments of pharmacology, biochemistry and molecular biology with the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, while the Eberly College of Science, the College of Agricultural Sciences and the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences support drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, natural products and clinical trials.
