Pharmaceutical Services Division

Division of the Malaysian Ministry of Health responsible for pharmaceutical policy and practice, based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor and now organised as the Pharmaceutical Services Programme. Registers medicines and cosmetics through the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency, enforces the poisons and sales of drugs legislation, licenses importers, manufacturers and wholesalers, sets the national medicines formulary and procurement policy for government facilities, runs pharmacovigilance, quality control laboratories and good manufacturing practice inspection, and oversees hospital, clinic and community pharmacy practice and pharmacist training in the country.
