Brazilian state university at Ponta Grossa in the Campos Gerais region of Paraná, created in 1969 out of earlier faculties in the town. Teaches pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, nursing, biological sciences, chemistry and food engineering alongside engineering, law and the humanities, runs its own teaching pharmacy, clinical analysis laboratory and university hospital services, and carries out research in pharmaceutical sciences and drug analysis, natural products and food science with graduate programmes.
