American private Franciscan college in Brooklyn in New York, founded in 1859 by the Franciscan Brothers and moved to its Livingston Street campus in the borough. Teaches biology, biomedical sciences, chemistry, health promotion, nursing and psychology alongside business, education and the humanities, prepares students for medical, pharmacy and health professional study, and runs its own teaching laboratories and undergraduate research programmes.
