Spanish public university in Lleida, Catalonia, whose origins lie in the medieval Estudi General of 1300 and which was re-established in 1991. Teaches medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, nutrition and human dietetics and biomedicine in its faculties of medicine and nursing and occupational therapy, agricultural and food engineering and biotechnology in its Escola Tècnica Superior d'Enginyeria Agroalimentària, and works with the Arnau de Vilanova university hospital and the Biomedical Research Institute of Lleida on clinical and translational research.
