Université de Rennes 1

French public university in Rennes in Brittany, which taught as Université de Rennes 1 from the split of 1969 until it took back the name Université de Rennes in 2023, with roots in the university founded in the region in 1461. Teaches through its faculties of medicine, pharmacy, odontology and science, trains pharmacists and doctors to degree and doctoral level, works with the Rennes university hospital for clinical teaching and trials, and carries out research in medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology and health data science with its own laboratories and joint research units.
