American public research university in Buffalo and Amherst, New York, founded in 1846 and the largest campus of the State University of New York. Its School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, whose teaching dates to 1886, offers the Doctor of Pharmacy and doctoral programmes in pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacometrics and is known for pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modelling research, and the university also runs the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, schools of nursing, dental medicine and public health and the Clinical and Translational Science Institute running trials.
