American public land grant research university in Gainesville, Florida, whose origins date to 1853 and which is one of the largest universities in the United States. Its College of Pharmacy, founded in 1923, teaches the Doctor of Pharmacy and graduate programmes in pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry, pharmacodynamics, pharmacotherapy and translational research and pharmaceutical outcomes and policy, alongside colleges of medicine, dentistry, nursing, veterinary medicine and public health and the UF Health academic health centre, with research in drug delivery, pharmacogenomics and clinical trials.
