Adult obesity should be regarded not merely as personal weight management but as a chronic disease and a national public‑health problem, experts said. The society presented these views during a special policy session titled “Exploring National Obesity‑Management Measures,” held on September 3 at the Conrad Hotel in Seoul, the opening day of the International Congress on Obesity and Metabolic Syndrome (ICOMES).
