Philips Ingenia Achieva and Intera MR scanners export DTI scans with incorrect diffusion directions when using Enhanced MR DICOM, preventing proper tractography processing.

Health Canada has issued an alert for Philips Ingenia Achieva and Intera MRI systems. When exporting diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) scans using the Enhanced MR DICOM format, the exported files contain incorrect diffusion direction data. This error prevents third‑party tractography software from correctly reconstructing nerve fiber pathways in the brain.
