AbbVie reports positive Phase 3 results for etentamig in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma

AbbVie disclosed positive Phase 3 data for its dual-specific T‑cell engaging antibody etentamig. In patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma who had received two or more prior therapies—including proteasome inhibitors, immunomodulatory drugs, and anti‑CD38 antibodies—the study showed improved overall response rate and longer progression‑free survival compared with standard therapy. The monthly intravenous regimen was associated with low incidences of cytokine release syndrome and fatal infections, suggesting the treatment could be administered in outpatient or community settings. The trial, named Cervino, reported a 60% reduction in the risk of disease progression or death versus standard care.
