I am Abhik Paul, born in Balurghat, West Bengal, India. I completed my B. Pharm from Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology under Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata, West Bengal in 2015. I am proud to have qualified for the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), India in 2015. My thirst for knowledge led me to pursue an M.S. Pharm in Medicinal Chemistry from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Kolkata, West Bengal, which I successfully completed in 2017. Passionate about the field of pharmaceutical sciences, I dedicated two years of my life to teaching as a lecturer at a Pharmacy college from 2017 to 2019. It was a fulfilling experience to share my knowledge and inspire students in their academic journeys. In 2019, my hard work and academic achievements were recognized when I was awarded the prestigious National Doctoral Fellowship (NDF) by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, India. This recognition fueled my desire to delve deeper into the world of pharmaceutical research. I eagerly joined the research group of Prof. Tapan Kumar Maity at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Jadavpur University, West Bengal, India, to pursue my doctoral study. My research interests revolve around the design, synthesis, and structure-activity relationship (SAR) of Thiazolidinedione derivatives with pharmacological significance. These compounds hold immense potential in various therapeutic areas, making them an exciting field of exploration in medicinal chemistry. With my dedication and passion for research, I am determined to contribute significantly to the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences. Through my work, I hope to play a vital role in designing and developing novel pharmaceutical compounds with potential therapeutic benefits. I am driven by the pursuit of knowledge and the desire to make a meaningful impact on the pharmaceutical industry and academia. As I continue my journey as a researcher, I strive to drive innovation and progress in the field of medicinal chemistry and drug discovery.
