自己紹介

Passionate about biotechnology, nanoscience, sustainable agriculture, and functional biomaterials for bio-PUFs and anti-counterfeiting applications. 🌱 Lecturer | 🔬 Researcher | 🌍 Global Collaborator Dr. Hao Nguyen is a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Biotechnology, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA), specializing in biotechnology, sustainable agricultural systems, and nano- and polysaccharide-based approaches to combat antimicrobial resistance and develop functional biomaterials. His PhD at the University of Muenster (Germany) focused on chitosan-based nanosystems delivering bioactive compounds from medicinal plants, effectively inhibiting quorum sensing-mediated bacterial behaviors such as biofilm formation, motility, and bioluminescence. Recent work includes investigating plant-derived polysaccharides against Helicobacter pylori and integrating bacteriophages into electrospun polysaccharide nanofibers to create bioactive, switchable materials. He is currently developing a project (submitted to MSCA PF 2025) aimed at designing sustainable, living or semi-living functional biomaterials with switchable optical properties for applications such as bio-PUFs and anti-counterfeiting. Dr. Nguyen actively collaborates with DAAD, GIZ, and the University of Adelaide, serves on the DAAD PhD scholarship selection committee, and participates in Europe Alumni Network activities, contributing to mentoring, outreach, and cross-cultural academic exchange.
