I hold a PhD in Chemistry, with my doctoral research focused on medicinal chemistry, specifically the synthesis of novel 2,4-diaminopyrimidines as potential antiplasmodial agents. Following my PhD, I joined the University of Pretoria as a postdoctoral researcher on a medicinal chemistry project, where I deepened my experience in drug discovery. During this period, I discovered a strong passion for chemistry education, which led me to shift my focus toward teaching and learning in the discipline. I am currently a chemistry teacher and pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) to formalize my commitment to educational practice and research in chemistry teaching and learning
