Kevin Cissy Nabukeera is an Assistant Structural Biologist at the Infectious Diseases Institute, under the African Center of Bioinformatics and Data-Intensive Sciences, College of Health Sciences, Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. She holds a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Makerere University. Her research focuses on Plasmodium falciparum drug resistance, analyzing mutations that affect Artemisinin-based combination therapies. By integrating computational structural biology with genomics, he aims to guide experimental validation and inform region-specific malaria treatment strategies, supporting precision public health in endemic regions. Kevin has also identified candidate epitopes from the tumor-specific antigen MAGEA12 for potential peptide vaccines against invasive ductal carcinoma. These epitopes show strong T-cell interactions, highlighting their potential to stimulate immune responses and improve patient survival. She is committed to bridging in silico discovery and clinical application, developing cost-effective, locally relevant solutions in drug and vaccine design, advancing precision medicine for underrepresented populations, and contributing to globally transferable healthcare solutions.
