Calcium propionate

Pharmaceutical-grade Calcium Propionate (formula 2(C3H6O2)·Ca), manufactured directly by Guangxi Jinyuan Biochemical Industrial Co., Ltd., appears as white flake crystals, particles, or powder with a slightly special odor and tends toward deliquescence in humid air; it is easily soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol. Approved by the WHO and FAO as a safe fungicide for food and feed, it is used as a preservative (up to 2% in cosmetics) and is distributed across North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
