Cantharidin

Cantharidin (CAS 56-25-7, C10H12O4, MW 196.2) is manufactured directly by Changsha Staherb Natural Ingredients Co., Ltd. to pharmaceutical grade. A mitochondrial poison naturally derived from the blister beetle Cantharis vesicatoria, it is cytotoxic to cancer cells and stimulatory to bone marrow, though its renal toxicity has limited use in mainstream oncology; it is more commonly applied topically, sometimes compounded with salicylic acid or podophyllin resin, to induce blistering and epidermal cell separation. It is distributed across North and South America, Europe, Australasia, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
