D-Mannitol IP is a polyol (sugar alcohol) excipient known for excellent chemical stability and very low hygroscopicity. It offers good compressibility and a cooling taste, and is widely used in pharmaceutical formulations such as tablets, chewables and parenteral preparations as a bulking and stabilizing agent.
