The IKA DISPAX-REACTOR DR 2000 is an inline high-shear disperser built around three processing stages, used to manufacture fine emulsions and suspensions. The shear generated inside its working chamber sharply boosts mass transfer and speeds up dissolution of both mono- and macromolecular substances, while three rotor-stator generator stages arranged in series deliver small, narrowly distributed droplet or particle sizes and give mixtures - emulsions in particular - extended single-pass stability. It can run in batch mode, coupled to a tank or reactor holding the pre-mixed product, or in continuous mode, where components enter through inlet connections, are mixed, dispersed and homogenized inside the unit, and exit through the outlet.
