Armand Koffi Sallah, M.D, MSc, is a medical doctor and a youth organization leader. He aims to become an expert in cardiovascular disease's management and medicine's safety, using real word data as evidence to inform healthcare decisions.
He served as a biostatistics tutor for about 8 years for first and second-year medical students during his undergraduate time. On top of that, he served as President of Burkina Faso Medical Students’ National Body before joining the African Regional Team of IFMSA(ifmsa.org) for one year as General Assistant. In addition to his passion for research and teaching, Armand is a young man committed to providing safe medical care to patients. This led him to assess the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of final-year medical students about pharmacovigilance as MD thesis project. His M.Sc. project was centered around the safety of blood-derived medicines used in pediatric population.
He enjoyed being a fellow of the Young Africa Leadership Initiative (Accra, Cohort 11),the National Training Program on Association/Organizations Leaders (Suudu Andal, Cohort 1) and the Young Leaders Training Program on Antimicrobial Resistance (AJRAM, Cohort 1).
With the burden of #NCDs and his family history of high BMI, he set himself on the cardiology residency program to help people encountering cardiovascular diseases/problems with care and education on how to manage/handle their illness.
He is looking forward to setting himself as an independent researcher working on all health topics especially #non_communicable_diseases, #cardiovascular_diseases, #medicines, #drugs_resistance, #pharmacoresistance, and #drug_safety.
He would love to serve wherever his competencies are needed.
