Behrouz KASSAI is a Professor of Clinical Pharmacology, specialized in pediatric pharmacology at Claude Bernard University & Hospices Civils de Lyon, France. He is the Coordinator of the Clinical Investigation Centre an Inserm translational research platform managed within the Hospices Civils de Lyon, and deputy head of the Department of Public Health. His Current research interest focus on research integrity, phase I to III clinical trials, Meta-research, Meta-analysis of RCTs and Diagnostic Tests, and Methods for evaluation of Rare Diseases. The Clinical Investigation Centre is involved since 2002 in evaluation of medicines in children and in Cardiovascular, Pulmonology and Endicrinology . Prof Kassai is a member of the executive committee of Pedstart a national pediatric clinical research network member of the French Clinical Research Infrastructure (F-CRIN, Inserm). The CIC of Lyon participates actively to the FCRIN networks of investigators, including Evaluation of Vaccines. He teaches Pharmacology and Methods in Clinical Research at the School of Pharmacy, and the School of Medicine Lyon Sud-Charles Mérieux, and he is responsible of the Clinical Development of Medicinal Products pathway a Pharmatrain Center of Excellence in the Master Engineering for Health. He has been a visiting scholar from 2001 to 2003 at University of California Los Angeles in the department of public health under the supervision of Prof Sander Greenland, and a visiting Professor at the University of Sydney, Westmead Children Hospital collaborating with Prof J Craig from January to September 2016.
