Quality Assurance Manager

Dr. Buleni Milton is a pharmaceutical scientist with a specialized focus on quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and pharmaceutical manufacturing systems. He holds a strong academic and professional background in pharmaceutical sciences, with particular expertise in the development and implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and international regulatory standards. He holds Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from Makerere University and currently works with Dei BioPharma Ltd as Quality Assurance Manager. His professional experience includes active involvement in the preparation of regulatory documentation, including Pharmacovigilance System Master Files (PSMF), as well as supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in achieving compliance with national and international regulatory requirements. Dr Milton has contributed to audit preparation and quality system strengthening, with an emphasis on documentation control, training systems, and continuous quality improvement within pharmaceutical operations. Dr Milton’s research interests are centred on natural product chemistry and antimicrobial studies, particularly the investigation of plant-derived compounds as potential alternatives to conventional antibiotics. His work on the in vitro antibacterial activity of combined ethanol leaf extracts of Cassia nigricans and Aristolochia bracteolata against clinically relevant pathogens reflects his commitment to addressing the global challenge of antimicrobial resistance through scientifically validated approaches. In addition to his research and quality assurance work, Dr Milton has a keen interest in pharmaceutical industrial development in Africa. He has contributed to strategic initiatives and proposals aimed at establishing WHO-compliant pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities through technology transfer partnerships, with the goal of enhancing local production capacity and improving access to essential medicines. Through his academic, research, and professional engagements, Dr Buleni Milton continues to contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences, with a focus on quality, innovation, and sustainable healthcare solutions in resource-limited settings.
