Senior Lecturer

Dr. Chika C. Abba is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. She is a Chemist and Pharmacist by profession. She had previously worked as a Community and Hospital Pharmacist before joining the Academia. Dr. Abba obtained Bachelors degrees (BSc) in Industrial Chemistry and Pharmacy respectively, and an MSc in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She acquired a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from the University of Benin and a PhD in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. Her research interests are in "Natural Products Research and Pharmaceutical Analyses" with the goal of addressing societal health challenges through natural/herbal product analyses, standardization, and packaging, as well as the promotion of healthy living. As part of her community service, Dr. Abba is actively involved in several youth development programs, particularly in the areas of personality development and skill acquisition.
