In 2010, I got my Bachelor's Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the faculty of medicine, Assuit University, Assuit - Egypt. then started my career as a demonstrator and Teaching Assistant in the department of Forensic medicine and clinical toxicology department, then I started my interest in toxicology especially environmental toxins. I was interested in studying the impact of exposure of experimental animals to different environmental toxins and implementing the results of experimental studies to reduce human exposure to health hazardous toxins. In 2015, I finished my master's degree from the faculty of medicine -Assuit University -Egypt. In the research of my master thesis, I studied a very common and widely produced environmental toxin which is Bisphenol-A. BPA which is a very well-known endocrine disruptor chemical and found a novel finding at that time I could measure the level of BPA in the tissues of human uterine leiomyoma results were published in a reproductive science journal. In 2018- 2022 I had my Ph.D. as a granted scholar student in the graduate school of medicine in Nagoya city university - Nagoya - Japan. in 2023 i started a new position of lecturer of forensic medicine and clinical toxicology - Assiut university -Egypt. i had 11 years of teaching medical students and supervising the teaching and reserch process .
My research interest is to investigate the toxicity and carcinogenicity of multiple environmental toxins, my PH. D thesis is focused on Nano toxins especially carbon nanotubes, they are light in weight and can be easily airborne and inhaled into our lungs. Despite the expanding use of Carbon nanotubes in wide verities of industrial applications, the studies for their safety assessment are far less than needed. I am responsible for 2 main projects. My first project is to understand and analyze the mechanism of the chronic inflammatory and proliferative events in the lung and pleural mesothelium induced by single-walled, double-walled, and multi-walled carbon nanotubes and how the size and shape of the carbon nanotubes influence their toxicity and carcinogenicity using TIPS techniques in animal models. My second project focused on the uses of the TIPS technique to test the acute inhalation toxicity of multiple poisonous and deleterious compounds. This is especially important for compounds that are difficult or impossible to be tested using whole-body inhalation due to technical difficulties. The result of this study will improve screening and experimental study of a large number of compounds prior to their use in the industry in order to avoid occupational and environmental exposure to these toxins. I am moving forward steadily with this project and, as noted above, is testing numerous compounds. I am also training on this new technique so that I can convey my knowledge to other colleagues and students.
