I am the acting deputy medical superintendent, director of education, Infection prevention and control coordinator in Naivasha County Referral Hospital. I have a background in pharmacy, with specific training in clinical pharmacy training and keen interest in infectious disease, Cardiology pharmacy and global health. I have successfully implemented clinical pharmacy internship program that saw me promoted to hospital director of education in 2020. In my time as director of education, I have tried to match the need for clinical training by staff and learners in the hospital with available resources within the hospital and without. I have so far helped create several curriculums that will ensure that the most urgent needs of the learners and hospital are met. As the infection prevention and control coordinator, I helped navigate the hospital through the COVID-19 pandemic creating and implementing policies that prevented most staff from contracting the virus and protocols for the treatment of the affected patients. This initiative saw our hospital recognised by the Kenya Ministry of Health recognise our hospital as the centre of excellence in preventing covid 19 spread among the staff and excellent management of patients with COVID 19
