職務要約

Frederick Asare, BSc Nursing, RN (UK), MRes (Candidate) Frederick Asare is a clinical researcher and UK-registered nurse with formal training in experimental pharmacology and translational health research. His academic work centres on the pharmacological evaluation of natural products, with specific focus on anticoagulant, antiplatelet and fibrinolytic mechanisms relevant to thrombotic disorders. He undertook MPhil-level research in Pharmacology at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, where he completed all postgraduate coursework and conducted laboratory-based investigations into the haemostatic modulation and safety profiles of medicinal plant extracts, including Carica papaya. His research generated multiple peer-reviewed publications and contributed to the scientific understanding of natural product–derived therapeutic candidates. His scholarly interests lie at the intersection of mechanistic pharmacology, therapeutic safety assessment, and translational drug discovery. He is particularly interested in the modulation of coagulation pathways, evaluation of bioactive compounds, and bridging preclinical pharmacology with clinical application. Frederick is currently undertaking a Master of Research (MRes) in Clinical and Health Research at the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, where he is advancing expertise in research design, quantitative methods, biostatistics, and research governance. His ongoing training strengthens his trajectory toward doctoral-level research and clinical-academic development. Alongside his research activities, he practises within the NHS at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust and has prior experience as a Health Tutor in Ghana, integrating research-informed approaches into clinical education. His long-term objective is to pursue doctoral research in translational pharmacology and develop as a clinical-academic leader contributing to therapeutic innovation and evidence-based healthcare practice.
