Prof. Jae Ho Shim is a biomedical scientist focusing on drug discovery for age‑related diseases, including sarcopenia, Parkinson’s disease, and cancer cachexia. His research combines organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, and preclinical pharmacology to identify and optimize novel small‑molecule and peptide therapeutics. He has extensive experience in structure–activity relationship (SAR) analysis, multi‑omics–based target discovery, and in vivo efficacy studies using mouse and zebrafish models. By integrating machine learning, QSAR modeling, and molecular docking into the drug discovery workflow, he aims to build efficient AI‑driven pipelines for candidate design and optimization. His long‑term vision is to develop practical therapeutics and biomarkers that can be directly translated to clinical applications in aging and neuromuscular disorders.
