Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Liping Liu is a new PhD graduate from Prof Jenny Stow’s laboratory (IMB), and just started working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Prof David Fairlie’s group (IMB). Through many years of research, she has gained profound understanding of cell biology, immunology, inflammation, and anti-cancer therapy. She has advanced skills in a wide array of techniques, including microscopy, flow cytometry, molecular cloning, protein production, gene-silencing, cancer drug design, animal tests, et al. -- Education backgrounds: Bachelor's degree in Sichuan University, top in China; Master's degree in Sichuan University, top in China; Three-year research in cancer drug delivery in Chinese Academy of Sciences, top institute in China; PhD degree in the university of Queensland, major in Molecular Biology. -- Work experience: one and half years of industrial experience in a biopharmaceutical company called Acro Biosystems; Three years of tutoring experience in both China and Australia. -- Technique skills: western blot, protein purification, HPLC, cell culture, cancer drug delivery, microscopy, molecular cloning, protein expression, generate stable cell lines, animal model, gene silencing by CRISPR, flow cytometry, PCR, pull-down, co- immunoprecipitation, et. al. -- Conferences attended: posters and talks in many academic conferences in both China and Australia -- Publications: 7 papers published, with one ongoing
