Mohamed Solayman is currently a seconded Associate Professor and Head of Clinical Pharmacy Department, Faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology, GUC. He graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University in 2006 and joined the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University as a teaching assistant in 2007. Four years later, he defended his Master's thesis and was promoted to "Assistant Lecturer" position. In 2013, he was awarded a government-funded scholarship to conduct joint research for his PhD in the field of "pharmacogenetics" between Ain Shams University and University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, USA. In 2016, Mohamed defended his PhD thesis and then received faculty position as a Lecturer to start teaching undergraduate, Clinical Pharmacy Diploma, PharmD, and Master's courses side by side with conducting and supervising relevant research projects. Dr Solayman has actively participated in national and international conferences with posters and oral presentations and was nominated for a couple of awards in such meetings. His research experience is centered on pharmacogenetics, drug repurposing, and clinical research design and biostatistical analysis as tools to enhance the clinical pharmacy practice; hence, he has publications in peer-reviewed journals in such fields. Moreover, Dr Solayman is a consultant for a couple of regulatory authority scientific committees and board member in a number of educational programs
