Medical Doctor (Physician)

In 1992 I joined the medical faculty of the National Medical University of Bogomolets, graduating in 1999 with a degree in Medicine as a medical doctor/physician. Since 1999 until 2000 I have successfully passed an internship, and since 2000 till 2002 I have successfully passed a clinical residency in "Internal Medicine". Since 1th April, 2003 till 27 June, 2013 I worked in the Department of Clinical Pharmacology with the Laboratory of Functional Diagnostics of National Scientific Center "Institute of Cardiology named after M.D. Strazheska" of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, where I completed a dissertation defended at the Public Institution "Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine". Dissertation was completed in the conditions of joint research activity of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology with the Laboratory of Functional Diagnostics of National Scientific Center "Institute of Cardiology named after M.D. Strazheska" National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine and the Department of Pharmacological Supervision (its successors were at different stages: Post-Marketing Supervision, Department of Pharmacovigilance) of the State Enterprise "State Pharmacological Center of the Health Ministry of Ukraine" (now the Pharmacovigilance Department of the State Enterprise "State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health Care of Ukraine"). I’m a PhD in Medicine. Successful defense dissertation (which I have already described in the above paragraph) "Pharmacoepidemiological approaches to study of adverse reactions by diclofenac and nimesulide medical application (comparative investigation)" for scientific degree competition Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine (called in Ukraine as Candidate of Medical Sciences) according to 14.01.28 - Clinical Pharmacology (code of scientific specialties in Ukraine) took place on May 30, 2012 at a meeting of the specialized scientific council Д 26.550.01 at the State Institution "Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" at the address: Kyiv, st. Eugene Potier (now Anton Tsedik), 14, scientific specialty 14.01.28 – Clinical Pharmacology (all present members of the specialized scientific council by secret ballot voted for the award of the appropriate scientific degree of the medical sciences for the above dissertation in the above scientific specialty, there was no vote against), on the basis of which the decision of the Certification Board of the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine (that year the relevant competent institution was called so) on 26 September 2012 awarded this degree. I'm a Former Member of the British Pharmacological Society. I was an Expert of the Pharmacovigilance Department of State Expert Center subordinate to the Health Ministry of Ukraine (since August 21, 2013 until December 9, 2022). Pharmacovigilance Department is a lead department in Ukrainian National Public Pharmacovigilance System. My duties were: monitoring and assessment of adverse drug reactions, assessment of Drug/Medicine application risk and Drug/Medicine safety signals management. I’m an author of more than 30 scientific publications, which were written and printed only in Ukrainian language. There were articles and abstracts. The areas of my scientific interests are: Clinical and Basic Pharmacology, Drug/Medicine Efficacy and Safety, Adverse Drug Reactions, Pharmacovigilance, Pharmacoepidemiology, Pharmacogenetics and Pharmacogenomics, Pharmacodynamics and Pharmacokinetics, Drug regulation, Drug toxicology, etc. I am interested in Cyclooxygenase inhibitors, in particular – these Cyclooxygenase inhibitors, which are used in human treatment as Analgesics, Antipyretics and Antithrombotic Drugs (Acetylsalicylic acid): Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, Metamizole sodium, Mefenamic acid and Acetylsalicylic acid, etc. Totally, I have an experience in the Post-Authorisation Studies of the Efficacy and Safety of Medicines/Drugs.
