Dr. Osama Arafat is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Consultant Clinical Pharmacist currently teaching and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students in pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, and clinical pharmacy practice. He earned his MSc and PhD in Pharmacology and an MBA in Financial Management and Pharmaceutical Supply Chain from the University of Derby (UK).
His research and teaching span drug discovery, molecular pharmacology, kidney and inflammatory diseases, oncology, and nanotechnology applications in cosmetics and nutraceuticals. He has led and co-founded several R&D projects transforming natural resources into therapeutic and commercially viable products, bridging science, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Arafat is also a drug information and pharmacovigilance specialist with long-standing contributions to medication safety, evidence synthesis, and rational drug use. He has guided clinical pharmacists and pharmacy students in applying global standards for safe and effective patient care.
