I am Rahul K. Valmiki, a dedicated researcher and educator specializing in synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry. My research experience spans academia and industry, with a strong focus on developing novel synthetic methodologies for drug discovery and scalable pharmaceutical processes. Currently, I work as a Junior Research Fellow at NIPER Mohali, where I am developing radical-mediated Smiles rearrangement protocols and process strategies for antibacterial agents and β-lactam antibiotics. Previously, as a CSIR Project Associate, I contributed to discovery and preclinical drug development for COVID-19 and other diseases under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. My research interests include transition-metal-catalyzed reactions, skeletal editing, and innovative C–H bond functionalization. Alongside my research, I am passionate about teaching and mentoring. Over five years, I have designed and delivered courses in Organic Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry for B. Pharm students, and I have successfully mentored pharmacy graduates to excel in national-level entrance exams like GPAT and NIPER-JEE. I am driven to combine cutting-edge research with impactful teaching, aiming to translate complex chemical science into practical solutions and inspire the next generation of pharmaceutical scientists.
